Maintenance Supervisor
The main purpose of the role is to ensure the Maintenance team is working in support of the Company’s goals/objectives. The Maintenance Supervisor is expected to develop and implement the operational plans for the team and ensure they are completed and to supervise staff in the day to day maintenance of the process plant and machinery.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure the Maintenance team are managed in line with company standards and Health & Safety legislation.
- Ensure all plant maintenance & inspections are carried out and recorded and and any defects affecting the safe working order of a machine to be reported immediately.
- Evaluate systems and processes to determine preventative maintenance or repairs that need to be performed
- Control, manage and update the on site CMMS
- Develops maintenance procedures and schedules.
- Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.
- Through good communication, ensure all team members understand their duties and delegated tasks.
- Carry out team toolbox talks in line with Company requirements and standards.
- Decide what tasks to allocate to the Maintenance team based on daily priorities
- Supervise the team on a daily basis, including staff planning, motivation, discipline and identify basic training requirements for staff and propose training plans to the Site Manager
- Ensure all aspects of health and safety are adhered within the area and challenge any employee not wearing the correct PPE or complying with health and safety regulations throughout the site.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of risk assessments and Safe Systems of Works
- Ensure the safe use of tools, machinery and equipment including training on safety equipment, PPE, and procedures.
Experience Desired
- Knowledge in process optimisation of plant and systems.
- Monitoring of Supervisory and Control systems.
- Ability to respond and react positively under pressure.
- Operational experience in Manufacturing Processing, Energy from Waste, Water Treatment or Heavy Industry would be advantageous.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £40,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday
