We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Master Data Management team at Greggs as an Apprentice Master Data Administrator on a 2 year fixed-term contract, studying for a Level 3 Data Technician apprenticeship alongside.
Our systems are becoming more and more data-hungry and we’re making better data-informed decisions than ever before, so it’s vital we’re confident our data is accurate, complete, up-to-date and reliable.
This is not simply a data entry job, you’ll be a custodian of our Master Data, working in a team of data specialists.
The base location for this role is our Head Office in Newcastle Upon Tyne, although there will be some flexibility to work from home several days per week.

What training will I receive as part of the apprenticeship?
The Level 3 Data Technician apprenticeship programme utilises a blended learning approach that seamlessly combines virtual seminars, self-paced learning modules, and personalised coaching. This flexible learning structure allows you to progress at your own pace while receiving ongoing support from experienced professionals.
Throughout the programme, you will be paired with a dedicated workplace mentor and coach from the training provider. These individuals will provide you with comprehensive guidance, feedback, and support to ensure you acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in your apprenticeship.
Your workplace mentor will offer real-world insights into the data technician role, helping you your theoretical knowledge to practical workplace scenarios. They will also assist you in navigating the company's culture, building strong relationships with colleagues, and adapting to the professional work environment.
After an initial induction period of 3 to 6 months to help you acclimatise to your new role, you will formally enrol in the Level 3 Data Technician apprenticeship programme. The apprenticeship spans 20 months, providing ample time to settle into your position before the formal training begins. To further facilitate your transition, you will be offered a two-year fixed-term contract that includes an End Point Assessment. This assessment typically involves tasks such as a written knowledge test, a workplace project presentation, a professional discussion, and an interview. Successful completion of all assessment components is mandatory for completing the apprenticeship.
