Job description

CamSight is a respected charity that supports local people of all ages living with low vision and blindness to live the lives they choose. The charity offers an holistic service ensuring any person with a vision impairment gets the support they need, when they need it.

We are looking to recruit a Head of Business Development to devise, deliver and lead a fundraising strategy to actively diversify and increase the charity’s income working across all areas of fundraising. By joining our committed and passionate team, you will play an instrumental role in enabling the charity to extend its reach and support people of all ages living with sight loss across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

The Head of Business Development is a key role in CamSight’s Senior Leadership Team and is responsible for driving the organisation’s plans for sustainability, diversifying existing funding streams and developing new business opportunities. The Head of Business Development will build a new fundraising and marketing team, and lead on service strategy development and implementation. 

The successful candidate will be someone who passionately believes in and aligns with our values. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be jointly responsible for developing and directing our mission, in collaboration with the supervisory Board of Trustees and our service users. You will demonstrate excellent strategic and commercial acumen developed in the charity or commercial world. We are looking for an innovative thinker to lead sustainable growth and galvanise our stakeholders in support of our vision to provide a first-class service.
