Job description
Responsible for cleaning and/or decontamination services provided by the Soft FM team to comply with the National Cleanliness of Healthcare Establishments Plan 2021. Be accountable for the Cleaning Budget Cost Centre of £7.8 Million per annum (£7.3 Million pays costs and £0.5 Million of non-pay costs). Deputise for the Trust Professional Topic Lead and Advisor for cleaning and/or decontamination management and related services. Oversee (including supplier), cleaning and/or decontamination management systems and services and work with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure that they provide. or are enabled to provide. continuous Legal, Regulatory, or other relevant cleaning and/or decontamination management compliance. Advise the Trust of any changes to cleaning and/or decontamination, environmental and other relevant legislation, Regulations, or best practice, as they relate to Trust cleaning and/or decontamination management services. Work with other colleagues to maximise income generation opportunities. Ensure that effective waste segregation and recycling opportunities are available for relevant waste streams. Use or create and make readily available, training, and other topic educational tools and information. Deliver training to relevant stakeholders. Be responsible for a team of approximately 232 WTEs comprising 203 Band 2 WTEs, 24 Band 3 WTEs & 4 Band 4 WTE employees. Undertake external supplier, internal system and service audits. Report findings and create corrective action plans where necessary. Oversee or take relevant corrective actions. Work closely with the Head of Sustainability to ensure cleaning and/or decontamination management services support the Trusts sustainability goals and ambitions. Work closely with the SFM Service Improvement Manager and other stakeholders to develop the improved use of technology, software, and the collection of performance data or to support service reviews. Create and provide the Deputy Head of Facilities (DHOF) with timetabled work plans, regular progress updates and evidence of work product.
