Role: Building and Refurbishment Site Supervisor
Location: Culham Science Centre, Abingdon, Oxfordshire
Reporting to: Building and Refurbishment Group Manager
Contract: ongoing Full-time
Key Responsibilities
As a Building and Refurbishment Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
Project managing the delivery of building refurbishment works in accordance with UKAEA processes, property strategy, and regulatory requirements.
Managing the delivery of multiple construction-related refurbishment projects from inception to completion, including client liaison, coordination of work, onsite supervision, and final account agreements. Projects typically valued up to £500k.
Supervising onsite term contractors on a daily basis to ensure compliance with specifications, safety protocols, and quality standards.
Overseeing onsite civil works, excavations, refurbishments, and demolition projects to meet time, cost, and quality requirements.
Obtaining relevant statutory and environmental approvals before commencing works and ensuring adherence to Culham Site working procedures and statutory regulations throughout the projects.
Utilizing technical expertise to advise Building Managers and assist in prioritizing Forward Maintenance Plan projects.
Supporting project works by verifying contractors' work against specifications and drawings.
Assisting the Group's Quantity Surveyor with monthly account verifications.
Being flexible for extended hours and weekend working as required.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications:
SMSTS - Site Management Safety Training Scheme or several years of on-site construction knowledge and experience.
Experience:
Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Outlook.
