Job Title: PCB Design Engineer

A well renowned aerospace business are currently seeking an experienced PCB Design Engineer to join their team due to continuous growth across the business and new projects emerging on a regular basis. This company offer a fantastic benefits package, hybrid working and the option of a 4 day week!
Working as a PCB Design Engineer you will be responsible for Capture Circuit diagrams for new electronic designs including designing PCB's to embody the circuits and ensuring layouts conform with requirements.
As a PCB Design Engineer your duties will include:
- Producing Circuit design & schematic capture using Altium PCB design tool.
- Maintaining Altium component library & 3D models and designs database.
- Undertaking PCB analysis of PCB designs from engineers for RF or Thermal issues and feedback results
- Creating & maintaining drawing & documents to allow PCB manufacture to BS8888 standards
- Investigating and defining answers to PCB design problems via NCR's from manufacturing.
- Capturing legacy PCB designs with a view to transferring them to Altium as needed to support manufacture
The successful PCB Design Engineer will have the below skills and experience
- HNC in engineering. However would consider equivalents.
- Experience in engineering product life cycle and development phases.
- Preferably a minimum 4 year's experience in PCB design
- Experience working within the Aerospace Sector would be an advantage.
The key measures for the successful PCB Design Engineer:
- PCB Designs '' are laid out simply and easily for manufacture in adherence to project or production agreed timescales.
- Drawing & documents used to support the PCB design are clear & unambiguous
- NCR's answers are thorough and comprehensible as part of the Materials Review Board.
- That manufacturers can use the PCB design data produced (including Gerber files) easily with questions
- Minimal number of Change Requests on newly released designs as a result of PCB layout error
The company benefits package includes:
- Compressed four day working week (whereby Friday can then be worked as O/T).
- O/T is payable at 1.5 in the week, x 2 on Sundays
