Job description
Pertemps is looking for an Administrator to join their very successful client, an Accountancy firm with 17 branches across the Southwest of England.
This is a very exciting time for our client; as their Plymouth branch is growing rapidly. As the Administrator, you will provide admin support to the Lead Partners to help support this.
Administrator job details: - Salary: £20,547 - £26,000 p/a
- Full time Monday-Friday, 36.25 hours per week
- Hybrid and flexible working available!
- Holidays - 20 days plus bank holidays increasing to 25 days after 3 years’ service.
- Pension 3% rising to 4% (but matched up to 6% after 4 years’ service).
The successful Administrator will: - Provide ad hoc accounts, administration, and secretarial support for the local team reporting to the Partners, Directors, and Managers of the office.
- Support Partners with the proactive planning and completion of meetings / tasks including tracking appraisal and exam dates.
- Prepare materials for Partner and client meetings, presentations, and proposals.
- Manage meeting room diaries, room set ups and close downs.
- Help with providing hospitality for clients including meeting, greeting, arranging parking and refreshments.
- Answer phones, main switchboard, and intercom; directing calls, and taking and passing on messages accurately and efficiently.
- Handle and dealing with daily post, filing, and communicating.
- Upkeep and communication of key office information including (but not limited to) suppliers, contractors, services, utilities, emergency shut offs and general maintenance management details.
- Assist in setting up new companies for clients.
- Perform company secretarial services for our clients including online statutory filings.
- Ensure terms of business are up to date.
- Prepare database invitees and attendees for local office events.
- Create and sending out invitations managing responses and reminders.
- Generate content relating to events attended and agreed programme.
- Provide general event support for the office.
- Review new company registrations and preparing marketing needs as required.
- Support monthly “open” event start-up for the office and help to drive acceptance.
- Use social media for office feeds on LinkedIn, Twitter/Threads, Instagram, Facebook etc.

- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Sound working knowledge of technology including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is essential for this role.
- Recent experience of working in a similar position or customer / client facing administrative role.
