We are delighted to be working closely a niche luxury new provider looking to conquer London. I’m looking to appoint a Dementia Lead for their
brand new luxury nursing home in Bromley.Our client is looking for qualified candidates who will be an asset to their nursing team and promote an atmosphere which enables residents to live as independently as possible.

The CompanyMy client are a unique and niche luxury provider who are looking to create a uniquely devoted, compassionate, sensitive, and holistic approach to care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a shift: allocate care activities, monitor team performance on daily basis and be accountable for their actions, receive (at shift start) and complete (at shift end) effective handover to next team and ensure daily electronic record keeping is made.
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly audits of the care and resident wellbeing using radar system and take responsibility for allocated actions.
- Work with Queensmead team leader in the provision of care and support for residents and families, as well as the care team.
- Ensure timely and effective communication between all team members, residents and their families.
- Further life story work and supporting initiatives that improve knowledge about the person
- Lead in the daily monitoring and assessing of resident pain, ensuring team recording compliance using Painchek tool
- Work with the LEWB team to record activity and engagement, ensuring team recording compliance using relish tool
- Lead on the completion and review care plans for residents living within the dementia communty(ies) – Queenmead/Hawkwood
- Lead on the completion and review of MCA and DoLS assessment for ALL residents (which ever community they reside in), maintain a log for each and ensure all relevant paperwork uploaded to Kareinn
- Liaise with GP and other AHP regarding all aspects of residents care
- Competence in administration of medication desirable but not essential (as full training can be given).
- Experience of working with families providing advice and support throughout their dementia journey
- Experience of supporting and developing a team of carers to develop their knowledge, skills and competence in dementia care, training qualification would be an advantage
- Experience of delivering supervision and completing relevant paperwork
- Able to role model positive care interactions and coach the team to improve their approach including leading on the use of dementia friendly language as per the guidelines, ‘How we talk about dementia’.
- Be a positive role model for team members and embody the values in all interactions with residents, relatives and visitors.
- Work with the head of dementia to improve the wellbeing of residents and take responsibility for any projects that are planned.
Experience Required- Nurse pin ideal but not essential.
- Experience of working with groups and individuals in a variety of roles and settings, including family carers or supporters of people living with dementia.
- Experience of leading and managing a service
- Confident individual with a hands-on approach who will lead, motivate and inspire the team
- Effective team player who builds professional and trusting relationships with every member of the team, ensuring they feel valued
- Patient with the ability to deal with difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
- Excellent attention to detail and an ability to anticipate problems before they arise
- Compassionate, empathetic, kind, and caring individual
- Experience of developing relationships, with a wide range of stakeholders
- Be able to demonstrate a flexible attitude to working arrangements as some weekend work will be required
