Job description
Class 2 refuse drivers required for a busy collection and recycling centre in Whitney. No experience required as full training is provided.
A refuse collection centre driver is responsible for operating a vehicle to collect and transport solid waste and recyclable materials from residential and commercial locations to a designated landfill or recycling facility. They must follow established routes and schedules to ensure timely pickup of waste and maintain cleanliness and safety standards while operating the vehicle.
In addition to driving duties, refuse collection centre drivers may also be responsible for inspecting and maintaining their vehicles, reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards, and following specific waste disposal regulations and guidelines. They play a crucial role in helping to keep communities clean and environmentally sustainable by safely disposing of waste materials.
This is a temporary to permanent position after a successful trial period.
