The role:
We are looking for a Finance Analyst that thrives in a fast-paced scale up environment. Reporting into the SVP Finance you will play a key role in supporting our Financial Planning and Analysis function, delivering key services to the business for planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
What you will be doing
- Collaborate with various departments to develop and maintain detailed financial models and forecasts.
- Analyse financial data and trends to provide insights that support key business decisions.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic reforecasts.
- Create and maintain regular financial reports and dashboards for management review.
- Identify and communicate key performance indicators to track the company's financial health.
- Conduct thorough variance analysis between actual results and forecasts, providing explanations for significant variances.
- Work closely with operational teams to understand key drivers behind financial performance.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and special projects.
- Generate insights to aid executive decision-making.
- Build and maintain complex financial models to assess different business scenarios and evaluate investment opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing financial insights and guidance to support business objectives.
- Work closely with accounting to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
What you should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience, preferably within an e-Commerce or Startup/Scale up environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of e-Commerce business metrics and drivers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, geo location environment.
- Ability to handle ambiguity and navigate through change.
