Maintenance Electrician

Rydon

Location

Dartford, Kent | United Kingdom

Job description

We now have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced multi skilled electrical maintenance engineer to join our South East based NHS Healthcare team.

Rydon has established a strong reputation for the quality within our maintenance division with a particular focus on NHS Hard Facilities Management - consisting of responsive repairs as well as planned/preventative maintenance. For over 40 years, we've recruited talented and innovative people to maintain homes, schools, hospitals, student accommodation and more. We combine a personal touch with outstanding technical expertise to deliver award-winning, quality facilities for local communities with a commitment from people who are passionate about what they do.

Our South East based NHS Healthcare team has been appointed to provide a planned and reactive maintenance service to our end client, a world class provider of emergency and urgent health care services in pre-hospital and out of hospital environments. Services are to be provided across Kent with half million patient transport journeys handled every year.

As an electrical maintenance engineer, you will be providing a planned and reactive maintenance service (including out of hours call-out cover) to the buildings fabric, M&E plant, equipment and alarm systems within Ambulance Stations, Make-Ready Centres (MRC’s) and Ambulance Community Response Posts (ACRP’s). In addition, there will also be some planned upgrade works and refurbishment works as part of our ongoing efforts to ensure a safe environment for service users and Trust staff.

What we can offer you;

If you have the above skills and experience, we'd strongly encourage you to apply.

The successful candidate will hold the 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations qualification and have previous relevant experience in the maintenance of buildings. Your planned/reactive maintenance experience will ideally have been gained within an NHS environment, though candidates with maintenance experience gained within a commercial/education environment (such as hotels, supermarkets, schools etc) will also be considered.

You will have excellent customer service skills and be passionate about providing high quality repairs/planned maintenance.

This is a genuinely diverse role with excellent scope for personal development. If you have the above skills and experience, we'd strongly encourage you to apply.

This is a mobile opportunity (and as such a full UK driving license is required).

As a well established, progressive company we are committed to attracting and retaining individuals by offering an excellent benefits package that includes a wide range of core and voluntary benefits.

Rydon is an equal opportunities employer and promotes diversity in employment. Successful candidates will be selected solely on their ability to carry out the duties of the post.
