Job description
TPF Recruitment is exclusively seeking a Personal Tax Manager to join a highly esteemed chartered accountancy practice located in Dover. Our client is a wellestablished chartered accountancy practice renowned for providing exceptional client exposure coupled with an excellent worklife balance. In this position you will be responsible for your own client portfolio encompassing both compliance and advisory tasks (IHT CGT etc.) primarily focused on personal tax but with the opportunity to cover other taxes too depending on interests and aspirations (corporate tax VAT etc.)
There are excellent progression prospects offered in this position as taxation plays a key part in the businesss offering and therefore you will have a clear route to becoming a partner in the future too.
As a direct report to the partners your duties will include:
- Manage your own portfolio of clients
- Take responsibility for the review process
- Liaise with the Partners in connection with the management of your client portfolio including the monitoring of billing targets.
- Provide advisory services to clients as well as support on their compliance matters.
- Support the development of more junior team members and assist as necessary with monitoring of work and progress being made and help to any problems and difficulties being encountered.
Be competent in all levels of personal tax and also be aware of available planning opportunities for the Firms clients recognising opportunities for collaboration
- Develop new client relationships from your relationships with existing clients
- Assist in the teams initiatives in business development opportunities as required
Requirements
- Ideally CTA and/or ATT/ACA/ACCA qualified you will have developed a personal tax career within an accountancy practice or specialist tax firm.
- Your experience will have been developed in any mix of Top Tier Top Ten 50 larger regional independent firm background or specialist tax firm and your background will most likely have focused on the personal tax route with a strong compliance and tax planning skill set.
