Job description
We are looking for someone creative and organised to support our family with after-school childcare, plus some light housework.
We are a busy happy family based in Peckham Rye - both parents work fulltime and my husband runs his own business which involved quite long hours.
We are looking for an after school nanny for our two daughters (aged 7 and 10), who both love acting, singing, arts and crafts and playing outside.
The role would involve
- collecting the kids from school
- organising snacks and dinner and clearing up after meals - we do a big weekly online shop and would ask you to pick up some bits and pieces from the local shop as needed (which is on the way back from the school) - help with meal planning would be great!
- playing with the kids and sometimes hosting play dates with their friends - our younger daughter loves role play, our bigger daughter has grown out of that but they both enjoy making up plays, arts and crafts, reading and board games, and they are allowed some TV time after school as well
- make sure they do some reading and any other homework (which is quite limited)
- drop them off at an after school drama club on Wednesdays
- take them to the park/playground/play dates from time to time
- make sure they tidy up at the end of the day, put toys and craft stuff away
- take care of their laundry (they can help put it away) and make sure they’ve got clean school uniform for the next day
- do bedtime and bathtime on Thursdays
- generally be their friend!
