Interim Band 7 Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist
Rate: £28-£32 per hour (Dependent on Experience)
Band: Band 7
Hours: 37.5 per week
Location: MK42 and LU3
Operating from two bases in Bedfordshire, you will take a lead role in providing highly specialist assessments, treatments, and advice for children in mainstream schools, special schools, and other community settings. As a Band 7, you will actively contribute to multi-agency meetings, EHCP meetings, and Tribunals when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead highly specialist assessments, treatments, and provide expert advice for children in various settings.
Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, EHCP meetings, and Tribunals.
Lead on projects in collaboration with the coproduction and service redesign team, involving stakeholders such as families, education staff, and other health professionals.
Qualifications and Training:
BSc.OT or Dip.COT.
HCPC Registration.
Evidence of continued Professional Development, including reflective practice.
Knowledge of National Strategies impacting service provision (e.g., National Service Framework for Children, Education Act, Children Act).
Member of CYP&F.
In-depth specialist knowledge of common paediatric conditions (e.g., cerebral palsy, developmental co-ordination disorder), including associated conditions impacting intervention (e.g., epilepsy).
Training/teaching experience.
