Why this job matters
The purpose of the media and Broadcast Project manager is to deliver medium to large scale agile projects on time for connectivity from the UK to around the world, to enable an ‘’One - M&B’’ approach. For customer ranging from the BBC, outside broadcasting events, Premier league football and new product lunches.
In line with our agile work stream the PM will run, plan, and deliver a range of medium to large scale projects.
Working in a highly complex, fast paced environment, the project manager is responsible for creating and leading end to end projects, ensuring they have business benefit, delivered on time and within budget.
You will help lead an agile squad combined of BT people and third-party agencies, proving robust leadership across several business counterparts.
This role is critical to delivering the networks services migration to millions across the UK and billions globally.
What you’ll be doing
Working with an integrated agile team to deliver end to end projects contributing to commercial benefit.
Monitor and manage issues, escalations covering all project Risks dependencies and changes.
Driving deployment quality through regular retrospectives and feedback from operations.
Build key relationships with stakeholders in Operations, Design and Business.
Working closely with other units to deliver connections to location across the UK.
Own and manage stakeholder relationships that have direct impact to the design excellence within your area for suppliers and managed service partners, i.e. BT Security, 3rd party vendors and operations.
Develop and maintain relationships with your key suppliers ensuring that these can be drawn upon effectively.
Skills Required for the Job
Agile, PMPM or relevant project management skill set or experience.
Risk management, strong governance and assurance capabilities.
Conflict resolution
Business strategy and financial
Third party contractor management
Understanding of the telecom Industry
Business case development
Experience You'd be Expected to Have
Proven experience in managing a team of engineers, managing workflow and performance management.
Subject matter expert in Agile/PM methodologies
Experience of dealing with internal and external business customers, third party suppliers, and providing reliable communication between all parties.
Ability to create and implement procedures to deliver best performance and reliable delivery.
