Live-in Domestic Couple

We have a fantastic role for a dedicated, and experienced couple, to join a small team of household staff on a private estate in Staffordshire.
Previous experience and longevity working within a busy private household is essential.

The large stunning residence is situated upon beautiful countryside and is on the border of Shropshire.

Housekeeper Duties;

The experienced Housekeeper will be responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of the household with a family of 4, as well as basic food preparation when in residence. There are two existing Housekeepers that have been at the property many years.

Duties included but not limited to:

• Basic food preparation
• Packing and unpacking for travel
• Housekeeping – cleaning all public and private areas
• Deep cleaning of the family home
• Organising the kitchen
• Laundry and ironing
• Ensure toiletries and provisions are replenished
• Keeping courtyards and immediate areas around the house clear
• Changing linen and towels in bedrooms
• Waste management
• Animal care
• Occasional childcare duties

Houseman Duties;

The houseman will be responsible for the maintenance and security of the property as well as assisting in the garden.

Duties included but not limited to are;

• Interior and exterior basic maintenance
• Alarms and security
• Vehicle maintenance and management
• Taking care of outbuildings
• AD-HOC DIY and maintenance
• Liaising with contractors
• Running errands
• Interior and exterior painting and specialist treatment of surfaces
• Basic plumbing
• Basic electrical maintenance
• Monitor garden lights and replace bulbs when required
• Check, clean and unblock gutters
• Mowing the lawns
• Repairing burst pipes
• Animal care
• Experience with cattle desirable but not essential

The ideal candidates will be hardworking and efficient, with a keen eye for detail and discretion an absolute must. The right candidates will be joining an experienced Estate Team on site.

Days/hours: The basic working hours are 40-50 hours per week, Monday – Friday however when the family are in residence you will be required to work weekends with additional time off in the week. There will be occasional travel to the principal's other property in the UK.

Accommodation: Immediate accommodation details will be available at interview stage. Long-term, a lovely separate 2 bedroom coach house on the estate. Nice size kitchen, lounge & bathroom. Pets may be considered on a case by case basis. No dependants please.

Salary: Up to £82,500 Gross DOE
