Robert Half are excited to be working with an industry leading organisation to recruit a Managment Accountnant position, based full-time in office , in Caerphilly.
They are offering a very competitive: base salary up to £55K+ flex start and finish times + onsite parking + more.
The role's core objective is to ensure financial records are complete and accurate, facilitating the timely reporting of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements, by:
As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Delivering a robust and efficient month-end close process, including the reconciliation of general ledger accounts, posting of accruals & prepayments and ensuring the accuracy, completeness and appropriate cut-off of the financial data
- Preparing P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow reports for the Group and its trading subsidiaries
- Preparing consolidated management accounts for the Group with supporting variance analysis and value-add, insightful narrative to support management decision-making
- Leading the year end close process
- Being the principal point of contact for audit fieldwork
- Prepare key financial information to drive insight supporting the management team in advance of weekly/monthly meetings.
- Ensure that the business complies with accounting standards and legislative frameworks.
Desired Profile:
- Significant experience in preparing monthly management accounts
- Experience of consolidation and intercompany adjustments
- Excellent analytical skills, including ability to identify and explore trends in the data and to explain these to a non-financial audience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Able to work autonomously and apply time management / prioritisation skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Comfortable business partnering with senior leaders
- Enthusiastic, pro-active and collaborative in your approach
