IN-HOUSE LITIGATION ASSISTANT
WELLINGBOROUGH (HYBRID)

Arkle Finance are recruiting an In-house Litigation Assistant for an exciting and challenging role that will require a thoughtful approach to our aged and difficult Arrears cases and deliver commercial outcomes on these cases. This will require close engagement & collaboration with the Recoveries and Collections teams and Arkle businesses, as well as working with Legal counsel, third parties and clients (both corporate and individual) to deliver this.

The role is based in our Wellingborough head office, and offers hybrid working with a requirement to be onsite 3 days per week.

We are looking to offer a salary up to £30,000 per annum DOE. WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

• Efficiently managing and processing legal claims directly and through third party firms.
• Liaising with and building effective working relationships with solicitors, insolvency practitioners, Courts, accountants.
• Managing cases in litigation, accurately tracking the progress of legal files and payment plans
• Working with the Collections and Recoveries teams on cases which are identified as likely to progress to litigation and/or as and when required.
• Working multiple cases in parallel, to strict deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
• Working effectively as part of a team and managing the multiple threads of a case.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Experience of working within a credit control/leasing environment or in a legal administration capacity either as a paralegal or legal secretary
• Confident and articulate with the ability to remain calm, professional, and assertive in the confrontational situations.
• Negotiation skills to deliver commercial outcomes with clients, guarantors, and insolvency practitioners.

IT WOULD BE NICE FOR YOU TO HAVE

• Experience of the Civil Procedure Rules and progressing claims through the Court system.
• Experience of working on recoveries cases to collect outstanding debt.
