Job description
Head of IT - IT Director - Birmingham - Banking (must have Financial Services exp) - Hybrid Working - Package circa £140-150k
Head of IT required for a business in Financial Services with offices in central Birmingham. The role is overseeing, leading and delivering across all areas of the banks technology platforms; so you will need an appreciation of IT Infrastructure, Business and banking applications and digitisation, Security and Transformational programmes. You will be leading a very capable team in the delivery of the overarching IT Strategy and roadmap, as well as leaning on 3rd party vendors too.
The business has come a long way on the last 3 years from a technology perspective but there is still a roadmap of change and digitisation to undertake with updates and replacements of core systems still to do. You will need to have led teams through changes in legacy technology and overseen moves to more modern cloud environments. There will be no area of the technology team that you are not involved in developing and enhancing, from DR strategy to IT Change to software upgrades.
You will have key stakeholders across the business that you will work to advise how technology can enable the business and influencing and discussing where necessary.
This is not a "keep the lights on" gig and offers a chance to have real impact in a business that are doing some great work and offer a different perspective to the typical banking culture.

You will need to be able to work on a hybrid basis, getting in to Birmingham 2 to 3 days per week. A very attractive package is available made of a base salary, generous pension, bonus, attractive annual leave policy and EV allowances etc.
