Job description
Lampton School is a large, mixed, multi-ethnic 11-18 school. We were judged as "outstanding" in all categories by Ofsted in May 2008 and again in May 2013. We are the lead school for the London West Alliance and a SCITT. As a member of the Hounslow Education Partnership we can offer staff excellent opportunities for professional learning and career progression.
We are seeking to appoint a passionate teacher to join our successful and lively Geography department. The subject is very popular at GCSE, with almost half of the students in years 10 and 11 opting to study it. We also offer geography at KS5 (AQA exam board). GCSE results are good and in line with national average. In 2023, 66% of students achieved a grade 4 or higher in their GCSE exam.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate good subject knowledge and be passionate about the importance of geography in the curriculum. They will be expected to be able to teach Geography to students in Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
