Company Accountant
Fabric Recruitment are recruiting for a Company Accountant for a valued client who offer services throughout the UK to a large number of businesses and contractors. They are a growing SME and they are looking for a Company Accountant to support them in their growth and be a vital player in the journey.
About you
You are an experienced Accountant who has worked in a busy accounting function within industry, producing month end management accounts.
You are competent in journals, forecasting, reconciliations and budgeting and you are looking for a role that will allow you to make good use of your exceptional advance Excel skills.
The Role
The role ideally requires experience of working within accounts in the construction industry, being able to raise applications for work completed in-line with contractual obligation and backcost review of projects.
Duties
* Producing accurate and timely financial information (to include monthly management accounts, forecasts, and reconciliations) and providing key support to the Commercial Director
* Producing monthly re-forecasts and annual budgets of prescribed Businesses.
* Month-end Balance Sheet reconciliations
* Prepare and explain any key variances in the monthly accounts, forecasts and budgets,
* Produce KPI's for the Businesses
* Build relationships with MD's and department heads so that there is a solid understanding of the Businesses
* Communicate with customers making sure payment dates are achieved
* Improving the systems surrounding all aspects of the Month End Process, Budgets and Forecasts.
* Reconciling the companies finance banking account
* Managing the team who will provide you with delivery of purchase & sales ledger information
