Veterinary Surgeon (Medicine Bias) - Liverpool

Are you a Veterinary Surgeon with Medical Bias? Are you looking for a change in career? If so then we have the opportunity for you!

Our client is an RCVS accredited 24 hour hospital based in the lively City of Liverpool. Known for its maritime history and musical culture this vibrant City is full of bars, shops and restaurants; there is something for everyone.

They are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who has a strong interest in medicine and has either already started working towards a certificate or has a keen interest in doing so. You will be joining a friendly and supportive team of Veterinary staff who will share their knowledge and skills with you and help you to develop within the role.

You will see a varied caseload from day to day and deal with medical referrals from your colleagues in the hospital as well as from partner practices in the area. Your role will involve assisting colleagues with medical cases and furthering the team's medical knowledge. You will be working with the Leadership team onsite including a Branch Partner, Practice Manager, Head and Deputy Head nurse and the regional team to develop the hospital to progress the medical capabilities of the practice. You will play an integral part in the development of junior colleagues.

The practice has recently been refurbished and offers a vast array of services including CT imaging, Orthopaedic Theatre, Dentistry, X-Rays, ECG, In-house laboratory, Endoscopy, Ultrasound and much more. The practice also has separate cat waiting areas and operating theatres in order to re-duce the level of stress patients will endure during their visit to the hospital.

The successful candidate will need to be a MRCVS, have 2 years UK experience and be a certificate holder in medicine or strive to achieve this in order to apply.

The Rota:
• Full time - 4 day week
• 1:6 weekends (Saturday and Sunday, 9am - 7pm)
• Part time/flexible working hours considered

•£1500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave
