Job description
We are currently seeking an Estimator to join a growing family-run SME based in Aldridge. The role will be heavily focussed on Estimating, where you will draw up assessments of how much it will cost to provide a client/potential client with a product or service. You will need to consider all pertinent information about each project and decide how much it will cost to meet the clients need.

Responsibilities....
- Research the cost of items such as materials, transport, labour and equipment
- Building and maintaining relations with Insurance companies/Loss adjustors/assessors
- Liaising with clients through various mediums
- Assessing the risk levels associated with a project
- Preparation of valuations and restoration reports
- Ownership and Management of quotations through to approval i.e. monitoring costs at varying stages of the project to ensure it stays within budget
- Other ad-hoc administration duties for other departments of the business
A University Graduate would also be considered for this role as training will be provided.
Requirements
- A proactive approach and solution-based approach to issues
- The ability to work under pressure to meet set goals, budgets and deadlines
- Numerically minded
- Proficient with Microsoft office suite
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- A construction related degree or qualification is desirable
- Experience within an estimating role, within the construction industry would be desirable
Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 4.30pm – office based (with occasional travel to sites)
