Job description
We are hiring Senior Mechanical Support Engineer rfor our client, a leading manufacturing company for rail industry based in Croydon, London.
The Package for Senior Mechanical Support Engineer:
Up to £50k (dependant on experience)
36.5 working week
Permanent , full time role

In the Senior Mechanical Support Engineer role, you will be primarily responsible to provide an additional input to engineering team with regards to technical knowledge, experience and assurance.
Qualifications required for Senior Mechanical Support Engineering role: §Experienced engineer with (as a minimum) an HNC/HND qualification (or equivalent) in a mechanically biased engineering discipline.
§A minimum of 10 years professional engineering experience
§Knowledge of various industries ranging from Mobility (Rail and Marine) to the Power Oil and Gas sectors is advantageous
§Knowledge of mechanical driveline and connecting products and systems (gearboxes, cardan shafts, highly flexible couplings, rail couplers, cooler groups, etc) is advantageous but not essential
§Knowledge/ use of CAD packages such as Siemens NX and Autodesk Inventor is advantageous.
§Knowledge of technical drawings (including BS8888 symbology/ standards), design principles and ability to review design proposals is advantageous.
