We currently have a fantastic opportunity available for an Operational Contracts Administrator (OCA) to join our team based in Exeter. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £22,000 - £24,000 per annum plus a range of excellent company benefits + rewards.
About the role:
This is a diverse, exciting and varied role working in our Operations Contracts Team. As the Operational Contracts Administrator, you will be responsible for managing key operational contract processes which deliver services across Drinking Water Services (DWS) and Waste Water Services (WWS). You will be a key point of contact both internally and externally for cost recovery linked to commercial activity with the Fire Service and Third-Party Damage.
What you’ll be doing:
• Work in line with the Pennon Values at all times and ensure positive contribution to our HomeSafe Values
• Act as business owner for key operational contract procedures to support Operations (WWS & DWS)
• Lead the Standpipe Hire arrangement and respond to location requests
• Liaison with the Fire and Rescue Services for Hydrant repairs and replacements and lead the cost recovery process for the associated works
• Manage the end to end of cost recovery linked to Third-Party Damage on SWW assets, including customer, operational and legal liaison/coordination
• Raise, manage and close all associated work requests and work orders on the corporate system (Ellipse)
• Track Vendor Concern Reports (VCR) from receipt through to outcome ensuring Operational feedback and liaison with the Commercial Manager for cost recovery
• Continually review and amend key processes and update the management team as required
• Provide summary status reports on all associated activities
• Support internal business with contract processes and provide solutions as required
• Oversee internal audit process activities to ensure contractor compliance
• Provide cover for the wider Contracts Administration Team
What we are looking for:
• A good level of GSCE Qualifications
• Working as part of cross functional operational team
• Experience of handling data, following processes and production notes/reports
• Excellent communication skills, able to communicate verbally and in writing across the business at all levels.
• Good organisational skills, self-motivation and the ability to prioritise workload
• Good initiative and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to track tasks and actions through to completion
