Job description
Pipewelder working only Monday to Thursday, enjoy a long weekend off, breaks are paid, free parking, Permanent contract available after successful completion of 26weeks temporary (like a probationary) period. Pay: £37,128 basic salary £17.00ph PAYE for standard 42hours + x1.5 Overtime Fridays
Pipewelder required for specialist pipework and fabrications firm looking to increase head count due to increased order book requirements and some employee leavers.
As Pipewelder your day to day duties will cover (but not be limited to):
Welding to X ray standard on both stainless and carbon steel (mild) materials
Ability to read drawings and cut pipe spools unsupervised
Majority of the welding is Tig & Mag welding
Weld test will take place at interview stage; tig butt weld stainless steel 2mm wall thickness, butt weld carbon steel 5mm wall thickness.
Fabricating pipes, flanges, plant rooms, skids to a very high specification onto pipe spools
Plater Welder with experience doing MIG and TIG welding could be considered
All other general fab shop duties expected of you across the shift
As Pipewelder you will be expected to work and adhere to strict Health and Safety standards set by the company
To be successful in your application as Pipewelder you MUST be:
Skilled and have a proven work experience in fabrication and pipe welding with stainless steel and mild steels for more than 2 years or
Have necessary qualifications/ be time served and experienced in MIG TIG welding within a similar engineering environment.
Driving License ideal due to location of site outside Leeds
Hours: 7:00am - 5.30pm Mon to Thursday (42 standard hours, 10.5 hours per day)
Pay: £37,128 basic salary £17.00ph PAYE for standard 42hours + x1.5 Overtime Fridays
Status: Permanent after successful completion of 26 week temporary (like probationary) period
Location: Beeston, Leeds, commutable from Bradford, Wakefield, Dewsbury and local train stations.
