Job description
Position: Senior Transport Planner
Location: Fleet Salary: £40,000 - £45,000, based on experience Join a thriving transportation and highways consulting firm with a team of 22 professionals spread across two offices. They are currently seeking a skilled transport planner to enrich their transport planning team in Fleet.
Their team comprises an equitable distribution of transport planners, engineers, and Directors across both locations.
Offering a comprehensive range of services, they specialize in various aspects of transport planning, including S278/38 highway scheme designs, drainage design, and environmental planning solutions.
They undertake diverse projects spanning private and public sectors, collaborating with commercial entities, residential developers, local authorities, and sectors such as leisure, healthcare, and education.
Responsibilities: - Prepare Transport Assessments and Transport Statements
- Develop Travel Plans and coordinate implementation
- Create and present technical data and drawings
- Conduct junction capacity assessments using ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and relevant authorities
- Ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of assigned tasks
- Support Team Leaders in offering comprehensive advice on Highways & Transport matters
- Conduct site appraisals, surveys, and contribute to report writing and presentations
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering)
- Familiarity with UK Transport Planning standards and processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
- Strong numerical skills, including spreadsheet proficiency
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is advantageous
- Experience or understanding of ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG software
