Location – Careys Manor Hotel. Located in the beautiful village of Brockenhurst, nestled between the New Forest National Park and the Solent. With 77 plush bedrooms and suites, the award-winning SenSpa and 3 onsite restaurants, we pride ourselves on our friendly staff and attentive service. Situated 5 minutes’ walk from Brockenhurst Village and train station with excellent rail links to Bournemouth, Southampton and London.

We are seeking an organised, bright and bubbly person to ensure breakfast service at Careys Manor Hotel looks great, runs like clockwork and that every guest experiences a sunny start to their day.
We typically serve breakfast to 80-90 guests during the week and around 140 on weekends and are seeking a motivated Breakfast Manager to ensure a great start for the most important meal of the day.
Excellent standards of customer service are essential; presenting the buffet beautifully, training team members, liaising with the kitchen and ensuring service is organised are key. Training will be given to the right person so don’t let a lack of experience deter you from applying.
This is a permanent, full time-position (40 hours per week) and the role can be Monday to Friday if required. Breakfast is served 7.30-10.00am on weekdays and 8.00-11.00am at weekends, so shifts would start at 6.30/7.00am and finish around 3.00/3.30pm (with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break).
Main ResponsibilitiesMeet, greet and seat guests and ensure excellent customer service is provided by the team
Ensure the breakfast team operates efficiently at all times
Ensure breakfast buffet is stocked and refreshed regularly
Provide team training and support new team members
Have a good knowledge of menu items, ingredients and allergens
Assist guests with menu selections, upselling where opportunities arise
Take guest orders accurately and efficiently ensuring clear communication with the kitchen
Accurately prepare final bills for guests and efficiently process payments on the system and store bills securely
Be aware of any guest dissatisfaction and immediately take action to resolve
Manage seating, clear and set tables in accordance with standard operating procedures
Ensure the highest level of hygiene and food safety, ensuring all foods are labelled correctly
Perform opening and close down procedures
Communicate effectively with all internal customers e.g. Heads of Departments and staff members
Oversee mis en place for service e.g. cutlery, crockery, glassware, condiments, fruits, juices etc are re-stocked for service
Strictly adhere to company rules regarding fire and health & safety, as per hotel standards
