Job description
Do you have excellent financial management skills?
Would you like to use them to support Refugees and Asylum Seekers in the Darlington area?
Could you offer us 5-10 hours a week and attend c8 evening meetings per year?
What will you be doing?
- Maintaining accurate financial records and produce regular reports and accounts
- Implementing and monitoring financial procedures, ensuring statutory compliance
- Manage the organisation’s bank accounts, donations and petty cash
- Paying invoices in a timely manner
- Ensuring consistent compliance with DAR procedures
- Advising the Trustees on financial matters
What are we looking
for?
- Experience of managing a Finance function or operating at a senior level in a Finance capacity
- Leadership skills gained at a senior level in a commercial business or charity
- Systematic, organised and judicious
- Analytical and decisive
- Good written and spoken English
- Collaborative, supportive and persuasive
- The ability to influence at a high level
- Approachable and sensitive to the feelings of others
