Are you passionate about empowering young individuals with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH), and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to navigate their educational journey successfully? Axcis Education is seeking dedicated Youth Support Workers to join our dynamic team in school settings across the country.
Responsibilities:
As a Youth Support Worker, your vital role involves closely collaborating with teaching staff to create an inclusive learning environment for youth with SEMH and SEND. Responsibilities include providing targeted support, implementing strategies for behavioural challenges, and facilitating positive social interactions. You'll assist students in accessing the curriculum, working towards their educational goals, and ensure a holistic approach by collaborating with school staff, parents, and external professionals.
Requirements:
• Previous experience working in a school setting or similar environment with a focus on SEMH and SEND.
• A compassionate and patient approach, coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on the update service.
• Advantageous to have a valid driving license.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
