UK date and time: 21-February-2024 11:45 Applicant Options New Search Login Job Details Help Terms of Use & Privacy Policy Job Details Postdoctoral Research Assistant BRC Department of Psychiatry, Warneford Hospital, Oxford OX3 7JX We are looking to recruit a post-doctoral researcher to join the NIHR Oxford Health Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) Data Science theme. Reporting to Professor Philip McGuire, you will join a multi-disciplinary team of researchers with a strong track record in precision psychiatry. The post is full time and based in the Department of Psychiatry a t the Warneford Hospital, Oxford. The post is for a fixed term (funded for three years). You will be in involved in the assessment and analysis of clinical, cognitive, neuroimaging and biological data in people with a first episode of psychosis or bipolar disorder, as part of the BBC (Baseline Biomarker Check) study. Participants will be recruited from people presenting to the early intervention service in Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, which is closely integrated with the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Oxford and the NIHR Oxford Health Biomedical Research Centre (BRC). The post would suit a post-doctoral researcher who is interested in translational research in mental health. You will have or be close to the completion of a PhD in a relevant subject (e.g., Neuroscience) and have sufficient specialist knowledge to work within NIHR Oxford Health BRC research programme. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present research proposals and results, and represent the research group at meetings are essential. Experience in mental health or neurobiological research would be desirable. You will be required to upload a covering letter/supporting statement and a CV as part of your application.
