Job Title: 1-1 Teaching Assistant (Year 5)

Position Type: Part-time, Temporary
Are you passionate about supporting children's learning and development? Do you have previous experience working as a 1-1 Teaching Assistant? We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a 1-1 Teaching Assistant for a child in Year 5. This position requires someone with prior experience in a similar role and must hold an up-to-date DBS check registered on the update service.
Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one support to a child in Year 5, assisting with their learning and development in line with the school curriculum.
Work closely with the class teacher to implement individualised learning plans and strategies tailored to the child's needs.
Support the child in accessing the curriculum, engaging with learning activities, and developing key skills.
Foster a positive and supportive learning environment to encourage the child's academic and personal growth.
Monitor the child's progress, identify areas for improvement, and provide feedback to the class teacher.
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a 1-1 Teaching Assistant, preferably in a primary school setting.
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with both children and colleagues.
Knowledge of primary school curriculum and teaching strategies.
A valid DBS check registered on the update service is essential.
Patience, flexibility, and a proactive attitude towards supporting children with diverse learning needs.
