Job description
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Cambridge, is currently looking to recruit a Systems Support Analyst on a permanent basis on a rate of £43,742 per annum. This role will be a hybrid of working at home and in the office.
Responsibilities:
- The role of the EBS Systems Support Analyst is to work with other members of the team and wider Directorate to provide a quality, customer focussed business systems support service to the Capital, Estates and Facilities Management Directorate.
- To configure business systems in line with functional and informational requirements and customer satisfaction. This may require the post-holder to work closely with end users to implement system usage and data quality monitoring mechanisms.
- Responsible for the day to day management of Business Services projects. Working closely with the Management team and the wider Directorate to ensure projects are delivered effectively.
- After development the applicant is expected to progress into providing a Business Analyst support service, identifying business needs, processes and risks and developing these into IT specific business system requirement specifications and then implementing this into the business environment.
Essential Skills:
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent relevant experience
- A level, Maths, English and Physics grade B or above
- Querying Microsoft SQL server or equivalent
- The post-holder will demonstrate of business system implementation experience and business systems management and support experience
- IT Project Management Experience, delivering multiple complex projects to specification, quality, cost and time
- Experience of configuring, supporting, securing and managing Microsoft SQL systems
- Hands on technical capability in performing data manipulation, data cleansing, querying and analysis
- Experienced working with end users to deliver products and achieve deadlines
- Must demonstrate resource management (people, time and cost), risk management and change management experience
- Experience of managing 3rd party suppliers, technology partners, management and end users
- SQL Server2008 and above and database management experience
- A technical knowledge of business system server environments
- A detailed understanding of SQL database management and Microsoft Sequel Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Knowledge of SQL server, Transactional SQL and ability to write stored procedures
- Intranet solutions - Knowledge of web based technologies
- Able to look at table structures and identify how data is used by a system to generate business output and to identify the data input and quality required to maintain accurate data records
- Project management processes, estimation, planning, risk management, stakeholder management
- Good customer service skills
- Able to translate user requirements to business system and reporting output
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to establish effective relationships at all levels of the organisation
- Organisational ability of self and others
- Ability to plan, prioritise, manage workloads, set appropriate goals, be visible, and make decisions alone if necessary
- Able to motivate other to deliver project targets
- Motivated and able to work autonomously or in a team
- Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and above management and configuration
- Ability to build xml import routines
- Ability to write well-structured T-SQL Must be self-motivated and proactive
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent customer focus and ‘ownership’ of customer support issues
- The post holder will show good analytical and problem solving skills
- The ability to understand and behave at all times, towards patients, visitors and colleagues according to the Trust values of safe, kind, excellent.
Desirable Skills:
- ITIL Foundation qualification
- Requirements Engineering Certification
- Proven track record of professional development
- BSC in an IT or equivalent
- Administering Microsoft SQL server databases or equivalent
- Prince2 Foundation
- Knowledge of Estates and Facilities requirements in a Hospital environment
- Experience of CAFM solutions
- Business requirements analysis
- SharePoint folder and view configuration and administration
- Business process review and modification
- The post holder will demonstrate a technical understanding of how, servers, networks, operating systems and databases work together as well as their potential and limitations.
- Experienced in communicating with users to identify and translate business requirements and expectations into business information and technical solutions
- Understanding of Health & Safety
- Document management system skills
- Working knowledge of applicable legislation and guidance on information security and governance
- An knowledge of underlying infrastructures(Networking, IP, Windows Server, VMWare) and its impact on business system performance and availability
- Able to configure and support SharePoint data access
- A tenacious and problem solving attitude, particularly when helping clients obtain the data required
- The post holder will be able to show they are analytically minded, able to relate business process to system specification and also demonstrate they maintain a thorough and detailed approach to their work
- The ability to work on parallel tasks to a high standard
