Job Description
The newly created role of business development manager is a high profile addition to the team reporting into the UK Director of Business Development you will assist in delivering the strategic growth of the organisation. Responsibilities include:-
- Identifying, targeting, and cultivating new business relationships within the retail and consumer sectors.
- Developing and executing a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Understanding customer needs, offer tailored solutions, and create compelling proposals.
- Building and maintaining long-lasting client relationships to foster repeat business and referrals.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and market developments to capitalise on emerging opportunities.
- Collaboration with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Business development manager will have/be
- Proven experience as a Business Development Manager in the logistics and warehousing industry.
- A "hunter" mentality, coupled with a self-starter attitude to drive new business acquisition.
- Deep knowledge of the retail and consumer logistics landscape.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong network and relationships within the industry.
- Results-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
