Job description
A new opportunity is availability for a Systematic Reviewer to join the evidence review and synthesis team at HEOR. The team supports clients in the Pharma and Biotech sectors by collating and evaluating evidence to support market access for their assets and ultimately deliver medicines to patients.
Working across multiple disease areas including cardiology, diabetes, auto-immune, virology and oncology and gathering evidence across domains such as clinical, epidemiological, economic and quality of life. Key tasks include reference management, screening, data extraction, writing reports and contributing to client meetings as required. The role requires experience and competence across all stages of systematic review as well as knowledge of other evidence review and synthesis methods. Experience within a market access consultancy is advantageous.
Key responsibilities include:
- Breadth across multiple disease areas or beginning to specialise in a disease area
- Under the guidance of project leads manage the internal review process and have responsibility for production of PRISMA flow diagrams
- Undertake abstract/title and full text screening for projects
- Contribute to design of data extraction under the guidance of the senior review leads
- Perform data extraction and risk of bias assessments
- Manage PRISMA flow/screening workflow on a single project
- Responsible for the quality of first report drafts delivered to project leads
- Develop ideas for presenting client research and data
- Contribute to client meetings under direction of project leads. To include preparation of decks, materials and presentations of progress and/or results
- Understand and adhere to brief, scope and budget of a project with support and comply with requests from project lead
- Contribute to proposal development as directed by senior team
- Comply with internal best practice, processes, systems and SOPs
- Coach and mentor Associate Reviewers on technical/methodological aspects of SLRs
Requirements
- Bachelors/Masters/PhD in a scientific subject, ideally a discipline in medical sciences
- Knowledge of multiple disease areas or specialism in a disease area
- Knowledge of the drug development process including reporting of randomised controlled trials
- Basic understanding of health economics
- Experience across all stages of systematic review
- Experience across multiple data types including clinical, economic, epidemiology and quality of life
- Experience across multiple disease areas
- Contribution to cross-functional teams i.e. Health economics (desirable)
