Teaching Assistant role starting in January – CARDIFF!

Teaching Assistants play an integral role in the seamless flow of the day-to-day classroom operations! Their role is to foster a positive learning environment and assist the class teacher in maintaining engagement throughout the school day.

* Pay: starting at £380 a week
* Working hours: Mon – Fri, 8:30am to 3:30pm
* Location: Cardiff

Roles and Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant

TA’s play a diverse and essential role in supporting the educational environment. Their responsibilities may include:

* Classroom Assistance – collaborating with the teacher to prepare and organise the classroom materials. Including supporting students during lessons and providing individualised attention where needed.
* Behavioural Management – Implementing strategies to foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
* Administrative tasks – assisting with attendance and assessment documentation. Organising and maintain the classroom and resources.
* SEN Support – providing support to children with additional needs, sometimes individualised attention and 1-1 guidance.
* Emotional Support – providing a caring and supportive presence for students and addressing their emotional needs. This may include providing feedback on student progress and any relevant concerns.
* Maintaining open communication with teachers, parents, and other school staff.
* Small group activities – facilitating small group activities at the request of the class teacher.
* Supervising students during breaks and other activities. Ensuring pupils are safe and secure within the learning environment.

The roles of a Teaching Assistant are diverse, requiring adaptability and a genuine passion for supporting both students and teachers in their educational journey.
