SEND LSA
Area: Rugby
Salary: £80-£100 p/day
Hours of work: 35 hours per week (8:30am - 3:30pm)
Start date: Immediate
We are looking for a Primary Teaching Assistant to work in an SEND school, supporting learners with ADHD, Complex ASC, PMLD and other additional needs.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the class teacher
- Supporting during lessons/school activities
- Managing difficult behaviours
- Delivering 1:1 support
- Collecting evidence of the child's work to support their assessment
Requirements:
- Experience working in a school setting is not essential, just a natural affinity with children and a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Experience working with young people
- Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
- Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children
- Have good behaviour management skills
- Have experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable not essential)
- Have knowledge of Braille (desirable not essential)
- Have experience dealing with Visually Impaired students
