Job description
CK Science are seeking an Accounting Specialist, where you will play a vital role in the financial and operational efficiency of our client’s organization.
As an Accounting Specialist, under the direction of the Controller, you will play a vital role in the financial and operational efficiency of our organization. This position is responsible for all aspects of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Procurement and General Ledger Reconciliation functions.
Location: Taunton (Full Time Position)
Onsite - 5 days per week
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accounts Receivable functions: customer deposits, setting terms, applying payments, invoicing, collections and aging schedules. Knowledge of sales tax collection and processes a plus.
- Accounts Payable functions: Vendor applications, invoice data entry, issuing payments and preparing aging schedules.
- Manage the procurement process including supplier communications, negotiation, order placement and follow up.
- Responsible for all functions of purchase orders and ordering parts on customer websites or via phone.
- Provide regular reports on procurement and payment activities, highlighting any issues or opportunities for improvement.
- Daily Cash Reporting
- Daily and month-end general ledger reconciliations.
- Handle Payroll Journal Entries, Monthly Journal Entries and Monthly Bank Reconciliations
- American Express Reconciliations
- Sales Tax Reconciliations
- Assist with Accounting Mailbox
- Must be able to work with all departments to maintain the accuracy of the accounting systems.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Accounting Experience 2-5 years
- Attention to details, accuracy, organizational skills and ability to multi-task are critical.
- Must possess strong analytical skills, problem solving and follow up skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as the ability to self-motivate.
- Strong time management skills.
- Strong writing and communication skills are imperative.
- Microsoft Outlook, Word/Excel/Power Point experience is critical.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:
Salary: $70,000 - $75,000
