Job description
We are looking for a flexible, well-organised person to provide efficient and effective customer and administrative support in a large successful primary school.
Responsibilities will include:
• Providing a high quality service to parents, staff and external providers which will be delivered by face to face, using the telephone or digitally through email, social media and website.
• communicating effectively and responding appropriately
• Building a professional rapport with work colleagues and those parents who they support
• Undertaking a variety of one-off or routine administrative tasks which may include dealing with orders, payments, sending out correspondence, offering advice, guidance and support, meet-and-greet, problem solving using a variety of IT software.
The apprentice may be the first point of contact at the school and interactions with both parents and staff may cover a wide range of situations where confidentiality is crucial.
You will demonstrate excellent customer service skills and behaviours as well as providing a service in line with the school’s policies and standards.
This role may be closed early if a sufficient number of applications are received.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 apprenticeship standard
- Functional Skills in English and maths if required
- End Point Assessment: Presentation; Practical Observation; Professional

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- We will support with in-house/external training to ensure that you have the
knowledge to manage our software and are trained to cover any Health and
Safety requirements. Whole school training will be offered if relevant to the role.
