What you will do
As the future Senior Supply Chain Business Analyst in our Process Excellence team, you will be responsible for efforts to refine our supply chain workflows. Your role involves driving process optimizations, utilizing data analytics for strategic decision-making, and implementing improvement projects. You'll manage data analysis, business case development, and performance metrics to enhance operational effectiveness.
Setting Direction:
- Partner in the development, modification and improvement of the overall Stryker distribution network, the Europe physical footprint, procedures, policies, processes, and the development of new services to increase external and internal customer satisfaction and lower overall costs.
- Take responsibility for the enhancement of our supply chain processes, focusing on the optimization of our distribution network and the European logistics footprint. Your role includes innovating procedures, policies, and services to boost customer satisfaction and reduce costs.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging data analytics and Lean methodologies to encourage organizational accountability and performance. This includes conducting value stream mapping and coaching teams across the European logistics operations.
- Identify and implement cutting-edge logistics models to support business growth, incorporating best practices and market trends to foster innovation and continuous progress.
- Develop process enhancements to refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions (WIs), aiming to elevate quality, efficiency, and throughput.
- Advocate for adherence to Stryker's values and ethical standards, ensuring compliance across all initiatives.
- Assist Process Excellence Engineers and Logistics Engineers with analytical tasks and the development of business cases, providing critical data insights and strategic evaluations.
Delivering Results:
- Develop and monitor operational KPIs to preemptively address potential bottlenecks or disruptions in the goods flow.
- Provide regular reporting on service levels, cost metrics, freight costs, and compliance issues to stakeholders within your region.
- Align with divisional and customer standards, driving the adoption of Managing Daily Improvement (MDI) practices and a continuous improvement mindset through training and coaching.
- Collaborate with Process Owners to document all procedures in SOPs and WIs, promoting process standardization and ensuring cross-functional alignment.
- Coordinate with operators, continuous improvement experts, and process owners to implement process improvements, maintaining an up-to-date understanding of quality system regulations and standards to guide the business.
Your profile
Essential:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
- At least 4 years of professional experience in Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, Operations, or a similar area.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Data/Business Analyst role, specifically within distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain environments.
- Proficient in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, PowerBI, PowerApps, Tableau, indicating a strong technical foundation in understanding and interpreting complex datasets.
- Familiarity with Logistics software solutions, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Familiarity in utilizing process mapping tools like Visio, and applying optimization methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean to streamline operations.
- Fluency in English.
Desired:
- A post-graduate degree in Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is preferable.
- APICS certification is highly desired, reflecting advanced proficiency in supply chain management.
- Expertise in Business Process Analysis, capable of identifying and implementing process improvements.
- In-depth knowledge of IT systems and tools, especially Oracle and SAP, and their impact on business processes.
- Fluency in a second (European) language is a plus.
