Job description
A Junior service engineer position has become available with a leading OEM of steel fabrication machinery. Globally recognized as a true leader in laser machine tool technology, they specialize in providing automation and processing solutions to clients across various manufacturing sectors. They have a head office here in the UK for machine storage, refurbishment and distribution, as well as a global headquarters in Europe where the machines are built. This position offers a starting salary of up to £32K, paid door to door, overtime during the week annual bonuses, company vehicle, 33 days holiday, a fantastic pension, private healthcare, death in service, and lots of other great benefits. As part of the planned service team, you'll be enrolled into a robust training programme, which is designed to further develop your experience in both mechanical and electrical maintenance of the machine tools Responsibilities for the role include - Routine service and inspection checks to company standard Minor breakdown repairs as necessary Upgrade and modification projects Levelling and geometry checks on all machine tools Ensuring customer satisfaction is both professional and courteous Report back to the office on any spares or replacement part requirements Use of laptop to complete all service and maintenance reports, and to submit timesheets / expensesThis role represents an excellent opportunity to work in a growing business within a solid and stable market, who will invest in your career with training both internally and externally, to take your career to that next level Frequent travel is required, and occasional overnight stays in hotels, so flexibility to do both is essential To be successful in this role you will have - - Previous experience as a machine tool engineer, or some form of apprenticeship training within mechanical/electrical engineering - A basic knowledge of mechanical repairs and inspection - Be able to read engineering drawings and diagrams - Impeccable customer service skills and a confident and professional manner in customer environments - Willingness to travel nationally and show flexibility when required - Full clean drivers license ASC Connections Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
