Behavioral Specialist for Primary School Are you passionate about supporting students with behavioral challenges and creating positive learning environments? We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Specialist to join our team. Key Responsibilities: - Provide targeted support to students with behavioral challenges, including those with ADHD, Autism, and emotional regulation difficulties.
- Conduct assessments to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors and develop personalized behavior support plans.
- Implement evidence-based interventions and strategies to address challenging behaviors and promote positive alternatives.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and external agencies to support the inclusion and integration of students with behavioral needs.
- Deliver training and workshops for staff, parents, and students on behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting interventions and support as needed to ensure positive outcomes.
- Establish strong relationships with students, building trust and rapport to facilitate behavior change and social-emotional development.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of whole-school behavior policies and practices.
Requirements: - Experience working as a Behavioral Specialist or similar role, preferably within an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of behavioral theories, interventions, and strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.
- Ability to conduct functional behavior assessments and develop behavior support plans tailored to individual students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to behavior management and safeguarding.
- Qualifications or training in behavior analysis, psychology, education, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
