Our File Inception team at DWF provide expertise in Claims and are currently hiring for an Administrator.

The File Inception Team are the first point of contact within the firm when it comes to new claims coming into DWF. The team are located across a number of locations with our biggest teams currently being based in Manchester and Liverpool.

 

The team open a variety of files for the Insurance Division, these files are from a number of different areas across insurance, from Motor, Fraud, Catastrophic Personal Injury, Occupational Health, Disease and, Recoveries. The team open on average 4,000 files a month and so the team work to strict service level agreements (SLA's) to ensure files are opened in time to meet specific court deadlines.

As a member of the File Inception Team you will have exposure to a number of stakeholders internally, as well as some of our clients at times. You will have insight in to how cases are compiled and will become familiar with some of the litigation processes and procedures.

 

The role represents an opportunity to process instructions for all new matters, which mainly involves data entry of information on to our centralised system. The role is a fundamental part in the litigation process and therefore is key that files are opened efficiency and correctly so as to avoid any delays on the file for the appropriate Fee Earner.

An ideal candidate for the role will have the ability to work as part of a team in addition to being confident working under his/her own initiative. We require an individual who is focused, has eye for detail and can work to a stringent process and timetable within a bespoke case management system. The ability to read and extract relevant information from clients' instructions is key to success in this role as well as the ability to meet a daily file opening target.
