Job Title: Quality Control Technician
Location: Wigan (WN6)
Salary: £26,000 per annum
Shifts: Mon - Fri (day shift) 38hrs per week
Contract Type: Permanent
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Control Technician for our client who are a well-established family run business, specialising in engineering high precision components for projects within the UK and internationally.
As the Quality Control Technician, your duties will be:
- Ensure the highest standards of quality within the production department.
- Raise Initial Sample Inspection Reports and documentation packs.
- Perform inspections on machined components and finished products to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Use various measurement tools and testing equipment to conduct thorough inspections and accurately record measurement data.
- Identify and document non-conformities, defects, or deviations from quality standards.
The successful Quality Control Technician will hold the following skills and experiences:
- Must have experience working within an Engineering environment.
- Must have some machining experience.
- Proficient with reading engineering and casting drawings.
- Must have the ability to use micrometres, gauges and optical equipment.
- Understanding of FMEA, APQP, PPAP would be advantageous.
- Experience in raising Initial Sample Inspection reports.
