Project 3 Mobility are looking for a Vehicle Software Integration Lead, reporting directly to the Head of Vehicle Integration. You will ultimately be responsibly for delivery of the control systems in our autonomous vehicle by leading vehicle software integration tasks and working closely with internal departments and suppliers.

Who and what will you be working with?
You will be based within the Vehicle Integration team at P3 UK sites (Wellesbourne Office and MIRA Proving Ground) and may be required to visit European automotive test centres for vehicle development activities.
What will you be responsible for?
- Leading the development and delivery of vehicle software integration and calibration for all aspects of vehicle dynamic control.
- Coordinating commodity software teams and suppliers to deliver vehicle level requirements.
- Coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure vehicle functionality and maturation schedule is implemented.
- Liaising with Steering, Braking, Motion control, Autonomous Driving System (ADS) suppliers on interface and control logics.
- Providing inputs for vehicle motion and vehicle dynamic requirements to stakeholders.
- Hands on development activities, including lab-based and vehicle on track assessments.
- Develop and deliver network and control requirements related to steering, braking and vehicle motion control.
- Liaise with Chassis, Powertrain, Autonomous Driving and Electrical & Electronics departments to develop vehicle motion and dynamic control functionalities.
- Integration of Autonomous driving, Steering, Braking, Propulsion, Motion Control to meet vehicle level requirements.
- Ensure all vehicle controls calibrations meet attribute performance requirements.
- Develop and introduce vehicle control (motion) integration process and procedure.
- Conduct vehicle control issue investigations, identify and implement solutions throughout development programme.
Who are we looking for?
To help achieve our goals, we need someone with/ who is:
- Engineering degree or equivalent vehicle development experience (8+ years).
- Excellent understanding and hands on experience in vehicle control system development, including EV and by–wire applications.
- Detailed knowledge and experience of vehicle motion control development and calibration at vehicle level.
- Hands-on experience of actuator integration with driver-assistance/autonomous systems for driving assistance functionality.
- Good understanding of automotive network bus system applications.
- Experienced in application of system engineering processes.
- Good understanding of functional safety, failure modes and effects, and fault tree analysis.
- Flexible, enthusiastic, and methodical individual, demonstrating a hands-on approach and able to work well under own initiative.
- Excellent teamworking skills to ensure effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
- Experience in a “Start-up” business is desirable.
- Full valid and clean driving licence, (advanced driving qualifications (e.g., ROSPA) desirable)
This person needs to:
- Be flexible, enthusiastic, and methodical individual, demonstrating a hands-on approach and able to work well under own initiative.
- Be willing to travel as required in the UK and overseas.
- Have valid Right to Work in the UK and the documentation to evidence this.
Ideally, you also have experience with:
- Vehicle network development, flashing and testing tools.
- Matlab and Simulink.
- Atlassian (Jira, Confluence), Smartsheet, Jama requirements management.
- MS Office Software Tools.
