Job description
Our client is an engineering consultancy practice based in the centre of Wellingborough. Due to business growth, they are seeking to employ a motivated, proactive and approachable candidate within their close-knit finance department.
Key responsibilities include:
· Managing outgoing purchase orders
· Tasks to include the creation, distribution and matching of supplier purchase orders to invoices/receipts.
· Entering supplier invoices into our account’s ledger and project management software and ensuring all approval protocols are followed.
· Liaising closely with cost centres and producing and distributing customer invoices.
· Reconciling company credit card purchases.
· Tracking timesheets and expenses have been submitted and approved.
· Producing remittances and statements using our accounts software.
· Ensuring our customer/supplier details are kept up to date.
· Keeping track and using our credit checking software for suppliers and customers.
· Providing support to reception and the administration team as required.
· Any other finance/admin tasks as required by the business.
Personal Specification:
· Be confident, well rounded and proactive.
· Be able to work in a remote environment for 80% of the working week.
· Have a knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
· Be a team player and willing to support all aspects of the company.
Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship Standard Level 3:
Possible full time permanent position upon completion of the apprenticeship.
