4 months contract with a local authority

Job Summary:

· To assist with and support the purchase of care service for service users including domiciliary care, residential and nursing care, day care, transport, extra care, supported living and direct payments. Purchasing a range of social care services covering all adult and children’s client groups.

Key Duties/Accountabilities:

· To support care management in purchasing routine care packages from a range of providers using relevant social care databases and systems, to assist service users achieve their outcomes. This will include supported/extra care accommodation, transport and meals on wheels for all client groups under and over the age of 65.

· To manage daily referrals for care packages, placing them in a timely manner whilst adhering to best value and quality assurance principles.

· To investigate complaints regarding service provisions, within agreed procedures as required.

Essential Experience Required:

· Experience of working to tight deadlines and of setting and achieving targets

· Proven administrative experience working in a public sector (or equivalent) organisation using Mosaic financials or similar client information systems

Additional information to note:

·35 hours per week

·09:00am – 17:00pm
