Job Title: 3D CAD Engineer

Location: Longton & Newcastle

Salary: £38,000 Per annum

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and refining intricate 3D models in SolidWorks.
• Creating custom part files using DriveWorks (preferred).
• Streamlining the processing of orders through the engineering pipeline and into production.
• Promoting a safety-first culture by strictly adhering to health and safety procedures.
• Upholding the highest standards of quality, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and a "right first time, better every time" mindset.

About you
They are seeking a self-motivated individual with a proactive approach and a can-do attitude. You should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities. The ability to work under pressure and proactively take the lead when necessary is essential, as is being a trustworthy and reliable team member.

Your primary Accountabilities will include:

• Utilising 3D Solidworks to generate customer order parts
• Operating DriveWorks
• Programming punch machines using Tooling software
• Implementing changes in 3D models to streamline production
• Collaborating with different departments
• Communicating with sales, external suppliers, and customers
• Procuring any job-specific internal parts needed for production
• Continuously improving products and processes.

What are they looking for?
The desired qualifications for the position include proficiency in Solidworks, with prior experience in DriveWorks being a plus. Additionally, you should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be a skilled planner, demonstrate focus, and exhibit strong organizational abilities. You should be able to prioritize workloads and maintain open communication with production. A solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication machinery and production is required, with experience in programming Trumpf or similar Punch machinery being an advantage. Experience in door manufacturing is preferred, as is experience with Salvagnini Punch/fold machinery.
