Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading manufacturing business in their search for a Workshop Manager to work in their leading facility in Deeside.
For the successful Workshop Manager our client is offering:
- £40,000 - £50,000 per annum - depends on experience
- Day shifts 7:45am-4:30pm Mon-Thu and 7:30am-12:30pm on Friday
- Permanent position

The role –Workshop Manager :
- Supervise component manufacture in accordance with the production schedule issued by Production Control
- Leader in CNC and supervision of staff and processes
- Ensure all guarding is in place and is fit for purpose.
- Continually assess production methods and propose better working practices.
- Monitor raw material stock levels weekly and liaise with Purchasing and Production Control about stock requirements
- Liaise with production control for order requirements and report any deficiencies or concerns that might jeopardise the production schedule
- Making sure there is sufficient staffing to fulfil order requirements, anticipating and arranging overtime and signing off as necessary
- Be fully responsible for and implement Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements in the CNC department
- Liaise with other departments regarding requirements; communicate regularly with the Operations Manager on the workflow and ensure KPI’s are maintained
What our client is looking for in a Workshop Manager :
- HNC/NVQ/City and Guilds in Engineering or equivalent ESSENTIAL
- Sheet Metal background ESSENTIAL
- Experience with CNC - Press Brake, Punch ESSENTIAL
- Previous experience in a similar role ESSENTIAL
- Must be able to set a & operate CNC machines ESSENTIAL
- Capable of following processes and producing work that conforms to quality and safety standards
- Previous experience with HAAS turning machines BENEFICIAL
