Job Title: Construction Estimator
Company Overview: My Client is a leading property maintenance, refurbishment and project contractor. They work with managing agents, principal contractors and developers from large PLCs to private clients, working closely to deliver maintenance and refurbishment solutions to their portfolios. They focus on quality, expertise and programme delivery enabling their clients to drive optimum performance from their real estate assets. As they continue to grow, they are seeking an experienced and results-driven Construction Estimator to join their team.
Position Overview: As a Construction Estimator you will play a crucial role in their sales and project management team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales estimation and account management within the construction industry, specifically in the Refurbishment and maintenace sector.
Responsibilities:
Sales Estimation and Account Management:
- Utilize your expertise to accurately price and manage projects
- Generate leads and foster relationships with clients, including major development companies
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with national companies, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.
- Manage accounts from initial contact to site completion, ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction industry.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide comprehensive and competitive project proposals.
Administrative Excellence:
- Demonstrate strong administrative skills, including efficient file management, timely response to emails and calls, and proactive tendering for potential work.
- Implement and maintain streamlined systems, such as pre-set price books, to facilitate efficient and accurate quotations.
- Transition the estimating department to a paperless system, contributing to enhanced workflow and sustainability initiatives.
Recognition and Achievements:
- Showcase your achievements, including a track record of achieving order intake of over £2 million from personal job quotations.
- Leverage your proven ability to deliver results and contribute to the continued success of the company.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record in sales estimation and account management within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of pricing and managing projects related to staircases, internal doors, and porch canopies.
- Experience negotiating with national companies and generating new business opportunities.
- Proficient in interpreting architectural plans and liaising with key stakeholders.
- Excellent administrative skills, including file management, email and call responsiveness, and tendering for potential work.
- Demonstrated success in implementing efficient systems and transitioning to paperless processes.
- Recognition for achievements, including a history of achieving significant order intake.
